i honestly dont see whats so good about this and i love rpgs i played it for about an hour and got absolutly nowhere.

i just found it confusing and aimless. so i sold it, not sure if it got better. but i also cant stand not having saves often its boring getting somewhere then having to re do it. just gave up

... Demon's Souls has pretty much the best auto-save ever... Saves after every enemy you kill, item you find, level you navigate, etc.

OT: Glad that you like it. It's my favorite game this gen thus far.

You must not like rpgs that much if you only played it for an hour and your biggest excuse of getting rid of it was that it doesn't have save points. If you actually put some time in it (like you should in every RPG before getting rid of it) you'd find out that in some levels you do get check points by unlocking doors or turning on some elevators which gives you a short cut to get back to where you left off.

trust me i like rpgs alot i just found this quite boring

I'm just saying, if you play rpg's a lot you must know that you can't judge a rpg within the first couple hours of playing it.

I put 50 hours and I almost beat it twice.

I loved the game in its entirety. Storyline was frankly absent, but the gameplay truly made up for it, and it ended up being an enjoyable badass of an rpg. I'm hoping for a sequel.

It was more than there, actually. You can meet most of the characters mentioned in the intro, and experience the ravages of the fog yourself. The atmosphere tells a better story than any script does.

Seriously? I thought the saving was very limited. I also heard pausing the game isn't actually pausing. Nobody better be calling me.

I just actually unwrapped the game. Can't wait to play. So if I were to kill somebody and then figure I'm too scared to continue, I can quit the game and later on it'll bring me back to that very same spot?

The Auto-save sucks. Once, I wanted to evacuate out of blacksmith ed'd shop, and accidentally scrolled to God's Wrath... big damn mistake, I couldn't do any decent upgrades until new game plus... because it saves ANYTHING you do...

im gonna disagree with that. the game doesnt tell a good story but its still awesome.

Glad you really liked it, Gilgamesh. more people should play this masterpiece. It's definitly my favorite game of this gen.

75 hours and beaten it for 3 times. I'm on my forth for the platinum.

One of the best games iv ever played, was on my third playthrough and put about 150 hours into it before I gave it a rest.

Yes. Oh, and you can't pause. Demon's Souls plays like the loneliest MMO ever, in a way. XD
