The PS3's market share is increasing! (good job sony!) 360's is decreasing! (what the hell is happening microsoft?!) and the Wii is totally unphased!!(welcome back nintendo!!) i have one question though?

 Do you think that the ps3 will annihilate the 360 next year? (my answer is yes seeing as it is improving gr8tly, but that's my opinion.) the wii will be equal (least likely) or above (most likely above) ps3 next year,  but i think sony has returned!! any thoughts?

Erm, depends on the territory. Sony will continue to dominate Microsoft in Europe and Japan, while Microsoft keep ahold of the American market.

Meanwhile Nintendo lead sales in all 3 territories, namely gaining a stronger hold on the European market for good and just edging out the 360 in America. Japan only furthers Nintendo's dominance.

Microsoft's market share had nowhere to go but down being that they started out with 100% maketshare ...

I think nintendo will start to lose some of its momentum come next year. As some I mean they wont sell out anymore. It should manage to sell half of what its selling this year next year.

there is more hardcore games for wii next year than this year!! also, there will be better casual games for the wii next year! take wiifit fore example! i think this year was only the introduction to the wii and ps3's success!! (360 has already shown its success and is starting to lose major steam!! (my brother said that microsoft should start copying sony and nintendo in order to gain popularity again! that would be so wrong if they did this and i would lose all respect for microsoft as a game company!!)

err...this is not space rocketry it's just basics of maths: market share could remain the same only if all 3 systems sell in the same proportions week after week (ie: wii 42.8% x360 37.9% and PS3 19.2% of total sales every week)...the fact that PS3 is gaining marketshare doesn't say anything about the existing gap between systems: the gap between x360 and ps3 could increase and at the same time the PS3 could gain market share.

Unless something goes wrong for Nintendo, the PS3 won't be equal to the wii next year.

Between PS3 and 360, In Europe and Japan the PS3 has clearly won, there is no doubt about this. In USA I can see in the long run that the PS3 will outsell the 360 but it will take a long time, 2010 about. I think that the lead the PS3 will have in Japan and Europe will be bigger than the lead the 360 will have in USA by July 2009.

 Dude its only the holidays, we have to see if the PS3 can still maintain and sell better than the Xbox 360 after the holidays. Of course the 360 will be decreasing, it went through 2 Christmas seasons already. This is really the PS3 and Wii first whole Christmas holiday season. 

Lets just see what the PS3 does after the holidays. Then we will find out that Microsoft needs to make a change quick. Until then you enjoy your holiday victory :P
