As part of my ongoing quest to please Beuli2,

>_> ....that so wrong...

It was a sorta joke/bet I had with him around 4 months ago, that I could create a great thread.

If you look at some of the earlier threads I created, you'll see he's commented and scored the thread as well, but he stopped doing this about 3 threads ago.

I need to condense the opening for my next thread, because I keep adding stuff but leaving in other stuff I need to take out

Halo Reach would be sooo much better on Wii

Not sure of that. Though the pointer controls may have added an additional level, I don't think it would have added too much to it to make up for the weaker online and weaker graphics. So they would have been fairly level I reckon

It would have better graphics- and with equal gameplay the xbox version would be better. Gameplay> graphics but there's no reason not to try and have both.

This is where I have to step in

The key thing about Galaxy 2 (and the first) for me is that the spin attack was implemented so well. How would it be done with the same satisfying feel on the 360?

Also, how about collecting the star bits? How are you going to point at the screen, collect the star bits without ruining the camera?

Not a bash at you or anyone, just questions. I agree that you should strive for both, but you shouldn't sacrifice gameplay for graphics. Galaxy 2 was a good example, but Epic Mickey or The Last Story would be just as fine to choose...

The spin attack could be implemented in any fashion- control spin/ a button however they would want to do it. THe bit collection actually is a legitimate concern though- but I'm sure a satisfactory solution could be found.

The issue is it would only be "satisfactory". Then you're removing an important aspect from the game, which may make it feel more hollow and less creative without.

Still unsure about the spin attack though; I can't remember/see any game on any previous/current console which could implement it so intuitively and as reliably as a good old fashioned spin attack!

We all know the fatal 360 controller flaw is that you can't play any point and click games...WITHOUT THE SECOND STICK.

BUT THAT'S NOT MY POINT

It wouldn't feel as intuitive IMO, and the second stick is already used for the camera. So that seems to be a flaw in your logic! Then you need 2 more button for collect and fire, then you see it's much easier to just use the Wiimote...

Anyway, would this REALLY make the game better on 360, with all this messing around?

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I stopped reading after you said that graphics aren't everything.... I'm not sure I understand.

Are you assuming that if the exact same game was on a different console it wouldn't be good because it can support better graphics?

Although there is something to be said about FF7 being better then FF13, what you're saying is that FF7 on PSone is better then FF7 on PS3 or PSP.

Which I guess is why you started talking about fanboyism. Since there is an assumption in your argument that a game would be better if it was designed for the console of your choice. You said it wouldn't be so I assume you're a nintendo fanboy, but other fanboys would generally assume a game designed for their console of choice would be better.

All this aruing about 360 controller above...It comes down to preference people.

Play it on Dolphin emulator on the PC and you can see what it feels like with the 360 pad. I can' go back to the wiimote for platformers ever since I started using the 360 pad for wii games... Sonic Colors, no more heroes 2, mario Galaxy 2 to me are unplayable with waggle at this point.

Other people may not be so dependant on second analog stick and may hate the 360 pad for wii games.

You can use the triggers or shoulder buttons, I just think the game would be better because Nintendo could have added more content and upped the graphics quite a bit.

I petty those who don’t buy a console because of fear of being called “kid” or less cool. Pathetic! Get a personality instead of doing what others do :P
