PC games are dead confirmed.
It's just that simple.

Um no. Duke Nukem is the biggest running joke in the game world. It's like waiting for a car wreck - we all know its going to crash and burn, and that's the only reason why we cheer its existence. Duke Nukem should have been laid to rest in our memories for what it was. With so many excellent FPS games out there, there's no place for Duke Nukem anymore.

Odd then, how none of these excellent FPS games have near the interactivity, humour or personality that Duke 3D contained. Odds are that Duke will disappoint. After 13 years of pent up expectations, the bar has been set so high by some that no game could top it. Still, I like long odds, so I'll be preordering as soon as the Collector's Edition is announced.
Hail to the king!

I bought DN3D AFTER having played Quake ][ twice. Despite the cruder graphics, I preferred the Duke. And despite the bigger immediate success of Quake I and ][, now Quake is a thing of the past also for its former fans, while Duke Nukem still's got a lot of fans waiting for his return from teh Land of teh Vapours. |
You apparently didnt play Quake 4, which was simply amazing, and that's coming from someone who really never was a Quake fan.

Quake 4 was horrible compared to the previous, are you just pissed coz the duke trailer has a 360 at the end of it? It's alright it is still going to come to the ps3/pc.

And anyway, Quake 4 brought what, better graphics and game mechanics novelties good for those that appreciated them, but it was just some more of the same ol', same ol', c'mon, crash-landed, short-necked space marines against evil nazi-like aliens, again? DN3D brought more than that. Some successive games, like MDK, were filled with humour too, but without the Duke's attitude and his gleeful pulling a face at political correctness. Also comparing frantic paces of various FPS, DN3D had frantic parts, usually following ambushes that broke moments of eerie calm, but it did it in its totally own and immediately recognizable way. Even before the awful flood of Quake II wannabes and carbon copies started, it looks like DN3D predicted it and set apart from the mob.

I wont argue against your opinion, but Quake 4 had SO much going for it (single player/story.. Ill agree the multiplayer sucked)... It was by far my favorite FPS single player to date. I could give a shite less what system duke nukem comes out on, its outdated and dead. I expect it to flop.

DN3d was good, Im not arguing that. Im saying that so much better has come from the FPS world since then. Besides all Duke Nukem really consisted of was a series of ripoffs from Bruce Campbell lines - especially Army of Darkness. The reason we all like DN3D was because it was a fairly new concept in a fairly new genre. The "comedic FPS" evolved with Serious Sam (a direct Duke Nukem ripoff) and Time Splitters.
Like I said, if the new Duke Nukem game came out about 3-4 years ago it may have been relevant. There's too many choices now, and the dev team behind this game is just on a piss poor track record.
