It's not life or death or anything. You guys probably already realized long ago that the default brightness settings on the PS3 and 360 are different. Anyway, I always played on a 720p/1980i LCD HDTV. The PS3 always seemed like it was too dark while the 360 seemed just right. Well, I upgraded to an 1080p LED HDTV, today. Now, the PS3 looks fucking fantastic while the 360 looks a little washed out. So here's where you come in.
There's some settings in the 360 menu and I don't have the slightest idea what they mean.
- First off, what is 1024 x 768? Is it preferable to 1080p?
- On the "Reference Level" tab, which is preferable--Standard, Intermediate, or Expanded?
- For HDMI Color Space, should I use Auto, Source, RGB, YCbCr709, or YCbCr601?
- I have "Display Discovery" set to "Enable"
I pretty much just went all random when choosing my settings. I feel so lost because I don't know what half of these terms mean--I used to be a pro when it came to video settings. What's going to be my optimal video settings that are going to make my blacks as vibrant as they are on the PS3? In other words, what settings are you dual console owners using? I don't want to have to adjust my TV's settings every time I play a different console!!
ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
