Nintendo and Apple are not direct competitors.

People who wants to play will buy a true console (the 3DS).  For the moment it's indirect competition. And it will conitnue like that until Apple release a console, if it ever happens.  NIntendo new features and other media openings are there to expand the appeal of the 3DS, but it's still almost exclusively a console.

It would be cool if they did. Thou8gh it might hurt the 3DS's sales alot. since its originality would be stripped away from it.

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3

The popular theory is LCD displays, but most suspect it was ultra high resolution displays, rather than 3D tech.

I'm not too sure current glasses free 3D is well suited to iPhones, iPads, or iPods at the moment ...

First off, these devices are designed to be viewed from different orientations; and I suspect it would be much more difficult and/or expensive to get a screen that was 3d when vertical and horizontal.

On top of that, the lack of input devices on iPhones, iPads, and iPods means that to control a game you're far more likely to use motion controls; and significant movement of the screen will cause problems for people to see the 3D effect.

Pachter is tripping.

An American company taking a Japanese company tech, like thats a big surprise.

As mentioned a couple times previuosly in this thread, touch screen doesn't go with 3D display. That presents the challenge to implment it into current iPod Touch/iPad line. Also, it would mean that all the current games on iTune/App store would not work and need to be re-written.

However, the idea of intergrate 3D display with iMac and Macbook sounds interesting and it would make perfect sense for 3D movies from iTune.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

In videogames as of late, that is a surprise actually...

If things like this do come true, it won't be long till Apple is seen as the new evil empire.

All of you that hated Microsoft, will be hugging your old PCs running Windows 7 once every device you use has to have Itunes and Quicktime installed and you can't figure out why your computer won't boot up and all you get is a sad face.  :)
