Why do you want to track Blackberry sales anyway ?
Because I'm in Nigeria right now and one out of every four persons has a blackberry. But what provoked me to check the sales was when I saw one with someone's peer, illiterate, security guard.

A friend of my family was in Mali recently. And over there iphones and blackberrys are huge, weird i know, since they are really poor there. However i do not think anyone bought one over there, but from Europe, Asia and other parts of Africa.

Is the oil pipe close by? That'd be the only way for this to make any sense...
I wouldn't mind hearing how BlackBerry is holding up against Apple globally. I know their getting their ass whooped but I don't know how bad. Also I'm patriotic and seeing my countries company go up against Apple is an interest of mine. Viva la RIM kick Apple's butt.....Oh....Ca....

Apple overtook RIM with the launch of the iPhone 4:
Alas, I have no numbers on how RIM is doing in Africa, but I've heard anecdotally that they're pretty popular in the region.

I guess I should say now that I am Nigerian, I live in Nigeria(I'm currently in a university) and we are not nearly as poor as most of you have been made to believe. I once saw a 2-hour long(or there about) documentary on Lagos(the city I live in) and the entire documentary was focused only on people working at a garbage dump. Gave this annoying impression that the entire Lagos city is a garbage dump(so where does the garbage come from).
SO no one knows how I can track the sales in Nigeria? :(
