humm. interesting mithology...

So L'cies are not necessarely humans? Then what is a non-humam l'cie?

Maybe Eidolons? ;D

-------------------

Vanille is the only character with the ability Death. Maybe she has a connection with Etros? I am not sure if Fang and Vanille were Pulse L'cie. The game talked about that? If not, then maybe they are Etro L'cies...

-------------------

So confusing.....what is the point of Cocoon anyway? Creating humans for a sarifice? Sacrifice for what, wake up buniberzei?

I think I should play FFXIII again(even through i platinum'ed it.) >.<

These analects aided me in understanding that, you get them when you finish the last 3 missions:

XI. Hypothesis of the HuntEdit

Obtain: Clear Mission 63: Crushed by Doubt

We've long held the goal of the fal'Cie's endless excavations to be the expansion of the world's inhabitable space-the creation of new lands with which to honor the gods. But I contend this to be false. Their methods lack the order one would expect if that were their purpose, and what's more, the gods they would honor have long since departed this world.
I propose a different explanation: the fal'Cie are hunting. Whether they seek a way to recall the gods or to journey to their side I cannot say, but I do believe the fal'Cie seek their lost deities. They search the earth, the skies, the waters, and even the deep places, seeking a gateway to the Divine.

-- On the Nature of Fal'Cie XII. The Door of SoulsEdit

Obtain: Clear Mission 63: Crushed by Doubt

When our earthly vessels meet their end, the souls they housed must leave this world. Would the path of their migration not be the same one as our departed gods? Must they not pass through the same doorway the Divine employed to reach that place that lies beyond?
If this is the case, it stands to reason that, should a great many lives at once be cut short, a flood of souls would surge through the aforementioned portal. The Door would be thrown wide, and perhaps we might even glimpse the gleaming light of Divinity beyond.

-- On the Nature of Fal'Cie XIII. Fabula Nova CrystallisEdit

Obtain: Clear Mission 64: The Doomherald

Children of Hallowed Pulse scour earth, searching substance for the Door. Those of Fell Lindzei harvest souls, combing ether for the same. So have I seen.
The Door, once shut, was locked away, with despair its secret key; sacrifice, the one hope of seeing it unsealed.
When the twilight of the gods at last descends upon this world, what emerges from the unseeable expanse beyond that Door will be but music, and that devoid of words: the lamentations of the Goddess Etro, as She sobs Her song of grief.

Why none of this vital information was never told in the in game cut scenes I cannot even begin to understand.

I also have know idea about that Rob-Ot its bizzare to me.  but from the OP of this thread, it seems like Bartandeles wants to open the door to the Invisible world where Etro weeps.

but from the final analect you've shown, it seems clear that the Pluse fal'cie Pluse wants to open the Door, the only way to do so is with sacrifice, and Lindel being the protector created Cocoon to prevent the Pluse fal'cie from opening that door. but obviously i'm mistaken somewhere, theres no way my crude interpretation could be true, theres probabily other things we dont know that will be explained in FF13-2.

Humm. Thanks!

But I have another Question: Why Lindzei is protecting humans? Isn't he a creation of buniberzei to protect him?

I am starting to think that the creation of the Cocoon was meant to sacrifice humans. Lindzei and Pulse are enemies or allies? @.@

Who knows..

in FFv13 trailer

Now I'm guessing the white robbed guy kills Noc's father in that scene. I mean why is the guy who has the small gun against 13 swords who can deflect bullets be smiling while the one with the upper hand isn't? After all, in Hamlet, The prince or the son wants revenge for his murdered father.

Do you also notice the change in Noctis voice? From beginning to end. The tone of his voice changes. Nomura said in the beginning of the game we may hate his voice but will most likely like it later on. Now why does his voice change from friendly'ish to a deeper tone?

So the more and more I watch the trailer, the more I'm convinced that the story is similar to Hamlet. I got to be honest here. I like this a lot.

What do you guys think of this?

Well Nmura san has been using a lot of William Shakespeare quotes in FFVersusXIII Trailers but your forgetting the Romeo and Juliet elements in the Game.

Well thats just my interpretation, could be completely wrong. but i think Lindzel is protecting the world when hes protecting humans, or hes protecting Buniberzel. i think Cocoon was created to protected the door from openting, thus preventing the worlds from ending (invisible and visible).

i think this FNC might be coming to a premature end tbh, because i think Type-0 was mean to be a big part of that, now their changing it so that Type-0 is its own series of games.

i think probabily because they know a lot of people were upset with FF13, they decided not to make too many games about the same thing, because they would never be able to focus on the story, they would always be focusing on the teen drama.

I think that the main problem of FFXIII is not the linearity but the lack of incentives to keep the gamer playing. I loved FFXIII, but I think that I would like even more if I knew what is the reason to fight against the enemies who were put on your front.

i didn like for the same reason, its like i was being forced down the dugeons in a straight line, so i could watch the cutscenes. the problem was there was the cutscenes were so boring, just about the characters giving monologues and arguing with each other, there was no substance behind the world or mythology behind the quest.

and the reason you would keep running in a straight line was so you could watch the next cutscene, there was nothing else in the game to incentivise you to play. i actully fell asleep during the beggining of Lake Bresha, i forced myself to stay awake and finish that dungeon man. which is why FF13-2 is a bargain bin buy if anything.
