Forums - Nintendo - Official Nintendo Event January 19th thread!

edit: nvm

Around the Network

Somebody needs to get an Official 3DS Thread going, I'm too lazy to find out all that transpired today.

Do we have more internal details about the inner-workings of the online? Profile details, potential achievements, also what exactly is the launch lineup going to be?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

mmmm too expensive!! 250 dollars sounds right for me

ONE FRIENDCODE FOR ALL, no mention of achievments, no mention of actual US/EU launch day releases (only general titles coming before E3/June midyr).

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

£230? No thank you, Nintendo. I would've forked out up to £200 for this machine but I'm not paying that much, especially no with the 3-5 hour battery life being confirmed both by NoE and NoA. Both the Euro and UK prices are extortionate when compared to their US/Japan equivalents.

That's what i was afraid of, regarding launch day releases. I wanted to be able to go out tomorrow and preorder a launch title (i already preordered 3DS itself, but i wanted to know which of the launch titles was most favorable and lock it in)

There is news article on the Nintendo UK site about the 3DS, in it I found this little piece of info:

Using a service that will be provided after the hardware’s launch, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL owners will be able to transfer games downloaded from the Nintendo DSi Shop onto their new Nintendo 3DS systems.
