its clearly going to use SD cards, i thought this would be obvious?.. wow

I wonder if Sony just want to piss people off or what? A disc reader again?

Hope not, it's like disolitude said! They should go with digital and SD Cards, imo, and I don't see mini BR happening on PSP2.

Yeah well, SD cards would probably be better. But as I said, I would still prefer mini Blu-ray discs over digital download only. The PSP2 will probably have both at the same time anyway.

As long as they make it mandatory to release simultaneously on PSN, I'm fine :D Although having a disc reader would probably make the PSP2 a little bulkier.

A lot bulkier, I think! They'd be so much better off using that room for more battery >_>

I guess it wouldn't be bulkier than the original PSP was (and I didn't have any problems with it). But we'll see.

Yeah, you are right about that, the original PSP is just fine but that's because they designed partially around the UMD reader. But from that screens of the supposed PSP2 it appears the system does not have any disc reader and if they add a reader now it would probably mean something a little bigger. Of course, if those images were real.

Well, I think that the PSP2's design still wasn't finished (in the leaked pics), and they had heating issues anyway, so the PSP2 could look completely different in the end. If the rumours about the possible reveal of the PSP2 on January 27th are true then we don't have to wait long till we see it.

Bluray mini-disc read speeds wouldbe incredibly slow, I hope this isn't true.

Ok, serious note. There is no way this is true. It would be stupid.

For a similar price they could get twice the storage space in an SD cart.

The SD cart would also be remarkably faster and use less battery juice.

For anyone arguing for a mini-disc, you are a crazy.

Someone actually predicted this while back, funny.
