Without a doubt, one of the topics that has to talk in forums, sites, magazines and conversations by the coffee machine has been PSP2, the supposed successor to the current Sony PlayStation Portable.

Rumors, leaks, official statements, images and other types of information have been happening during all these months, which is now must add a new figure that begins to fill pages and pages of forums and websites across the network:PSP2 could Mini reader incorporate Blu-ray.

The Mini Blu-ray Disc is a compact variant of normal BR disk with a diameter of 8 cm. and an approximate capacity of 7.5 GB of information. Is currently used for compact camcorders and other recording devices.

The news of the possible inclusion of CCS in the PSP2 has been disclosed and revealed in a promotional video for the company privately to investors and publishing firm, which reported plans of the various divisions Sony ahead to2011.

I really hope that this is true (not necessarily that they use mini BDs, but that it isn't just DD only).

Would be kinda cool, but not possible, I think they go with memorysticks instead.

Discs move too much :D BUT only if they use like a case and put the mini bluray in there...wait umd :P

This is beyond fail if true.

Disks = load time...time something you dont have when on the go.

The second reason why my PSP is modded(first being emulators) is because it games load twice as fast and battery lasts longer when UMD isn't used.

Hope not, it's like disolitude said about loading times and battery usage! They should go with digital and SD Cards, imo, and I don't see mini BR happening on PSP2.

Will keep with Sony's need for excruciating wait times on start up.

Yeah well, SD cards would probably be better. But as I said, I would still prefer mini Blu-ray discs over digital download only. The PSP2 will probably have both at the same time anyway.
