For a Wii game, it looks good. Otherwise, last gen game anyone? Anywho, the combat looked slow, turn based at times, but then again I didn't know what the hell they were explaining and as much as I love JRPGs, I hate hate hate metrosexual protagonist and that elza guy looks really....well metro. What is it with JRPGs male heroes and open shirts?

he looks metro to you?.....also awesome vid.

No plans for the west. Your so awesome Nintendo....

NOT

This is still going around?  Yes, a NOA rep stated there are no plans to bring it to the west.  But an NOA rep has to say that for games that haven't been announced in the west yet.  Do you really think a rep is going to be the one to annnounce the western release for a game like this?  It simply means nothing has been announced yet.

But dozens of sites and thousands of gamers ran with VG247's article which is completely unfounded.

So please stop positing VG247's innate interpretation of the obvious.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

hmm.. clearly an intriguing game - I like the combat system, which seems to be based on some kind of atb system and I hope online mode is not restricted to the arena, full story co-op would be a really nice addition to jrgps

but I don't really like the pastel color palette, it looks kind of washed out .. well, jrpgs imho don't need to be unnaturally colorful all the time, but I think they went a bit too easy on them here

another thing is that, like in most recent games, the male character design is quite bad (so are western designs, just for the exact opposite reasons)

well, I hope this game can deliver/meet the high expectations and Wii owners are in for a treat

Am I the only one who thinks the centered reticule sucks?

Wii pointer controls would be much better. At least we could have that option.

This looks like a VERY nice apology game for losing Final Fantasy back in the PSX era.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

ARRRRR looks awsome indeed!

on the male characters... yes they do look a bit odd and a bit too fashion... but at least for once the design doesn't have all protagonists look like 12 year olds. (i'll admit most of the FFXIII screens I saw did that well too... though I didn't open it yet to check).

And the battle systems doesn't seem slow at all, rather, it seems to pause on some selections so as to not penalize the player.... which is an interesting way of doing it. I feel it is very MMO inspired in its looks (agro system does influence my view) and by the fact that you see a 5 character party, which is rather large for any single player RPG.

Actually From the looks of the game, if i saw it for the first time, i'd think this was a new MMO... (here's hoping it sells millions and N does indeed make the last story a prime franchise).

Moreover, although it felt not as recent, I really loved LO, so i'm very excited. (got to play my BD too :-x damn backlog).

it's not a shooter... :p we'll have to actually try the game to comment on that choice.
