GT5 is doing very very well in EMEAA. Many people seem to think that NPD = World sales.
|
No one thinks that. GT5 sales probably need a n adjustment right about now. It wasn't even in the Top 10 for Dec on the NPD charts. That's not good. I'm sure it was in EMEA's Top 10 though. It sold over 3 million copies in EMEA region. More then 60% of the game's sales. That % will probably increase throughout this year. GT5 was a good game, but nothing spectacular. The car physics was it's only saving grace. The premium cars look brilliant, but everything else was pretty average or only half completed. The game still seemed unfinished, which is why most reviewers were disappointed.
Wow.. even Kinect Sports outsold GT5 for the month. Yikes.

Seems like copy-paste from many reviews to me.

Cut and Paste from one of the inaccurate reviews that doesn't even know how to review a simulator then. Not that I'm a big fan of them - I have GT5 but prefer stuff like Burnout Paradise - but I also know how to evaluate them, as do the majority of sites evaluating GT5 as a simulator who rated it pretty highly for something limited to a console vs PC based simulators.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

Yeah, just wanted to spell it out. I don't know why but the mass of inaccurate and frankly unfair slurring posts around GT5 has just annoyed me recently (not yours of course I just wanted to expand on what you implied).
Being a simulator is a very specific thing - not an opinion - and GT5 is the best simulator of driving on a console currently around if that's your thing.
