Blame the marketing team. Games like CoD,AC,GTA4, etc. wouldn't do nearly as much if they were exclusive compared to multiplat

Now that's true , these titles are  very remarkable and have a huge fanbase on both sides , but what about the titles that aren't that huge , being exclusive creats some kind of hype / anticipating for the game and , most of the times , deliver a better experience , any new/not huge IP needs that.

Marketing can't do miracles , If you like add 500K to Enslaved sales due to really good marketing campaign.. still too low and not anywhere near Heavenly sword ( which wasn't profitable for NT by the way ). What I'm saying being multiplat not always better for sales , it just might be.

So in other words, you're saying exclusivity can help new IPs compared to established ones like MGS, GTA, etc.

I'm not saying exclusivity is bad, it's just that most of the time multi-platform maximizes the profits which is why most third party companies these days are shooting for multi-platform releases.

If MGS5 goes Multiplat i play the game and after that i kill myself...cause its over...they cant steal my MGS...serious

this will be the saddest gaming news ive ever heard...i survived Tekken and FF Multiplat but MGS main series multiplat...i dont think i can handle this...

I prefer exclusive that way they can explode each console to the best they can.

Yeah, now my consistent multi-year prediction that next gen will start in 2012 is becoming more apparent. Obviously someone has begun to receive some info on next gen details.

btw, this won't be a launch title. Starting now means probably not available until 2014 and there is no way anyone is launching that late in the game. 2013 maybe by Sony as the PS3 still has room to decrease price quite a bit.

I really just hope MGS4 stays exclusive. As for MGS5... It cant possibly be a sequel but more of a prequel so it's actually okay. You want the main plot and ending? You gotta have a PS3 :DD
