My DSi which I use a lot has a battery life of about 6-7 hours on the highest light setting, and with the volume about halfway. So I'm sure the 3DS's is better than they are claiming. It doesn't affect me anyway since I play handheld games at home.

From my experience the 3-5 hours of battery life for DSi sounds about right. I get roughly 4 hours of battery life out of a single charge.

If it can get to 5 hours on medium brightness with wifi turned off I see no problem with the battery life.
