My friend just told me that her friend hacked some call of duty: world at war trophies for her. She says he invites her to a game and does mods for weapons and modes...she says he's been doing it for sometime.

If you need to hack trophies then you obviously have no skill and also suck.

I believe the previous hack for the PS3 that was on a USB stick and was allowed to play downloaded PS3 games had the ability to unlock all trophies.  However because you cant go online (if you do it'd make you update the latest firmware causing the mod not to work) with that mod unlocking those trophies were pointless cause you wouldnt be able to show them off.  

Confirm this with your friend tho im not exactly sure if we're talking about the same hack.  However it just seems wrong not earning your trophies the right way lol

What's the point of these hacked trophies anyway? I've always thought that the purpose of trophies/achievements was for self ego-boost, and to keep a track of what you've achieved in a game :P

It seems the PS3 wasn't so invincible after all. I don't care about people hacking it, but hacking just to do stupid hacks online just sucks. I don't know why would anybody cheat in any game. When I used to do cheat in some games (and some where they were in game) I just felt empty. There is nothing to achieve, it isn't like you did it in your own merit. It is just as bad and lazy as winning the lottery or stealing.

Now online trophies are going to be even more of a pain in the ass thanks to losers. Just pray to god games have private matches.
