if Sony starts disabling ps3s watch the lawsuits pile up!!

People should remember mcrosoft never disabled modded 360s, they just banned them from XBL

If sony starts disabling consoles I believe all hell will break loose and sony will be the ultimate loser

It would be illegal to do so in certain territories and Sony would end up footing the bill for both replacing the PS3 they criminally damaged and also the costs associated with any lawsuit.  Microsoft can brick a console with an update when they ban if they wanted but they never will because as already stated they do not have the right to break your hardware.

but SONY can know the changes you made.

everytime PS3 boots up,changes made and application played is accessed by SONY servers even if you are not logged to PSN.

 

 

there is no fucking way,EUROPEAN OR ANY OTHER LAWS will allow SONY to disable your console thought

Pirates will just get a used PS3 mod it and pirate games with Sony not being able to stop it.  It happens to the X360, the Wii, DS, PSP and now PS3!!! Now the biggest question will be if this will affect software sales the way it does the NDS and Wii.

It depends on the reason for ban, my friend pirated games on his 360 and got banned in 09.  His console was forever banned from XBL but he just traded it in for a new console, his XBL account on the new console was like nothing has happened to it.


I´m not talking about console ban (you get this for piracy and flashing FW), but about account ban. If you modify you Gamertag, for example for achievements, or for bad behaviour, you wiil get you account banned, but console is still able to connect to Live.
