Just check any thread about PSP2 vs 3DS (or anything else).
They all ask for higher spec but at lower retail price against the compititions.
Clearly, they wanted Sony gaming division to go red again just like they did with PS3.

Sony should grab some future technology that is more advanced and cheaper than the 3DS's
I think they crazy, Sony should release the same PSP, bump the specs, release the same games, charge a higher price for them, I am that hardcore.

By the time PSP2 releases the PS3 will be selling consoles at $199 - $299. Hence why the PSP will be still under 3DS price of $300. I predict the PSP2 will be selling at $250 with a slight profit.

Now, I'm not a tech-y person, so I may have this wrong, but wouldn't the parts be ridiculously more expensive when they're smaller? That's the reason handheld graphics are generally worse than home console graphics, no?
