Anywho, Vgchartz at least has over 100,000 sold more than wedbush besides the ps family. Slight adjustments going down for wii and Xbox360 doesn't seem illogical to do.

EEDAR seems to be on the low end, Vgcartz on the High end.

I expect VGC to be closest on Wii. And 360, too, probably, though Wedbush could take that. Everybody agrees on PS3/PSP/DS so it's kinda up in the air. That said, Wedbush won't win PS3 or DS and EEDAR won't win PSP, I don't think.

I think we should wait to see our official US numbers. We can't apply that percentage to everything. Especially during the holidays (different deals, different habits in different countries, etc etc).

VGC got burned last month by NPD.  I think they tweaked things a bit to make their numbers more accurate.  

Just imagine, if you will, if the NPD numbers were like last month where the Wii and 360 numbers were too low and the PS3 numbers too high.  I bet we'd get more of those "this site isn't as fun as it used to be" threads and comments again, lol.

That would be hilarious... especially after all the 'undertrackedz' screaming.

The thing is though you can't really compare NPD and VGC as they are quite different.

For example

From 3rd jan to 27th nov 2010 VGC has PS3 at 4.131m for americas. X0.89 and you get 3.67m for US.

NPD have up to the same period

Jan - 276k, Feb - 360k, March - 313k, April - 180k, May - 154k, June - 304k, July - 214k, August - 226k, September - 312k, October - 250k, November - 530k.  Which is a total of 3.119m for US.

Meaning VGC has PS3 551k higher for the same period then NPD has it at. That is before you get the december numbers. 

Now i imagine if it was the other way around and VGC had it 550k lower then what NPD had it at the calls for undertrackedz would be quite deafening  ;)

Wow Pachter agrees with VGC almost completely.

I expect Wii to be slightly overtracked by VGC. As usual, if I dare say so.

The holiday numbers are never exact, everyone knows this, it is a time of year that is notoriously hard to track precisely. And that's why we have adjustments (every year post holiday).
