Lufia 2 and Parasite Eve.

Both are, at the same time, the most amazing single-player experiences I've ever had and the best games I've ever played

Probably Metroid Prime. I know the Zelda games are always good too, but I finish the new ones too fast nowadays... I never want it to end!

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

1.alan wake its about the only game i repeated the single palyer six times and still repeat it

2. assasins creed the original was the best the rest assasins creed 2 and bortherhood aren't at the same level, i just hated ezio and the bullshit that he didnt need to cut his finger and all the things they changed i liked the double blades posion and all that stuff didnt like flying, the story was a huge step down as instead of considering the assasins order it is his story not the story of many in an order

3. gears of war 2 and halo reach gears 2 was amazing and reach ending was that good

If I limit it to this generation. The first year I had the 360 Gears of war 1 blew me away to where I couldn't put it down for months. The imagination and the originality of the storyline makes it one of the best games of all time. The first Assassins Creed game would also make my list. Its too bad the sequels of all three of those games were pretty much just lesser efforts clones of the originals that didn't add much of anything new.

I completely agree about the N64.

The top single player experiences that come to my mind are Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Metroid Prime. This generation, I guess that would be Galaxy for me.

I know it will sound like I'm just echoing others but honestly, for me, it was The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. It made me see the potential for video games in the future and games now are doing what OoT made me predict they would. And I've never enjoyed/been blown away by a single player experience as much ever since. I hope Skyward Sword or Wii 2 launch Zelda can beat it for me.
