Nooo! Ocarina of Time is not a launch game :(

...in Japan, where it isn't nearly as big as the USA/Europe.

I think NOA and NOE ill be smarter to know that it would be an excellent launch title with the 3DS, so don't lose all hope... yet.

And even if not, I bet it will be due to not wanting to snip away from Skyward Sword, so we'll get a Zelda one way or another in a few months.

I read time ago a rumor that says 3DS will come bundled with Ocarina of Time. I hope for NA this come true.

I think there is zero chance of that happening. It makes no financial sense for Nintendo to bundle the 3DS with OoT. Nintendo is going to sell every 3DS they can manufacture for at least the first year and we all know that OoT will be a million seller. They'd be giving a way money. MS and Sony may like to give away profits but not Nintendo.

I'm indifferent to that Kid Icarus gameplay. They seem to be pushing this as the must have 3DS title. It certainly doesn't make me want to buy one.

This. Looks more like Sin & Punishment than Kid Icarus. :/

Mario Kart, Paper Mario, and the Resident Evil games look nice, though. Still, I doubt I'll buy a 3DS at launch.

As much as i like the first two Kid Icarus games The fact it seems any thing like Sin and Punishment makes it a must buy for me. At the moment it is the only forsure game I will get when I get a 3DS.

It could very well be strategic positioning. They're not going to drop this and Skyward Sword in the same frame, so one, though both are close on to done, one is going to need to be strategically repositioned. If OoT3d goes back, SS could come forward

Hopefully 2 and 3 will also be released in  Europe

This battery debate is really confusing me :/ . I was really hyped about the 3DS until I read the abysmal durability of the battery. I think I'm going to wait till the launch, where people will be giving more exactly details.

Nintendo tends to give "peak use" for their battery figures initially, I'd wait for clarification.  For comparison, on their other handhelds for "peak use" battery life they said...

  • GBA SP: 8-10 hours
  • DS: 6-10 hours
  • GB micro: 5-8 hours
  • DS Lite: 5-8 hours
  • DSi: 3-4 hours
  • DSi XL: 3-8 hours
  • 3DS: 3-5 hours

Interesting.  When I went looking for numbers, I saw numbers saying the DS line was at least 10 on a full charge, which I guess is more "real world" use than "peak use".  Perhaps Nintendo should issue some "real use" estimates before everyone believes the 3DS is a major power hog.
