meh 20GB isn't anything special nowadays for PC games.

actually outside of MMOs yes it is...

Maybe you play the wrong games then. I don't play any MMOs and Shogun is by far not the first game that has 20GB.

Napoleon is 22GB, Empire is 16GB on my PC, so it is certainly nothing special (though having said that, NTW does include the Peninsular war campaign)

yeah Dragon Age has ~20GB, GTA IV isn't far from 20GB either. And a few others I can't remember atm.

Besides that Shogun 2 will probably as big as 18GB, since they always use a slightly higher number on these requirements. Though I'm sure with future updates it can become as big as they say.

Why are they so big? They were both on 1 DVD for the 360, do they just not bother with as much compression? Or use higher res textures or something?

haha I'm not sure. Actually I even downloaded a "high resolution texture pack" for Dragon Age on PC that is I think another 2GB in size, because the normal textures really don't look that high.

As for GTA IV I guess it's just a bad port.

I think I'll b arely meet the recommended requirements.  Sucks I probably won't be able to max it, despite having 4gb DDR3 and a 5750.
