Not when it outsold FFXII. The series is fine sales wise. They just need to fix FFXIV.

Final Fantasy was my favorite series of games, I hated it when Squaresoft(back then) left Nintendo for Sony but Final Fantasy 7 and 9 were fantastic 8 was good too, But I must say that 10, 11, and specially 13 were dissapointments to me, 12 was pretty good. Financially Im sure It's still making great money for Squarenix but I do think that as a franchise "Final Fantasy" has lost some respect, we can all admit It has been milked too much, I mean all the spin-offs and remakes have made the excitement vanish everytime a new game releases. anyway this is just my opinion.

Just wait 'til ff13 Versus is the best selling FF ever.

Critically? Maybe. Final Fantasy XIII wasn't a critical success story and FFXIV is even worse. However, Final Fantasy games can vary greatly so it's not a complete loss. They can always try new things and Final Fantasy games can vary a fair bit from each other.I know I for one won't ever buy a final fantasy game if it's anything like XIII.

Sales? Highly unlikely. XIII has done very well and garnered a huge number of sales. The name still says a lot and is widely recognised. The numbered iterations will likely always sell well.

You really think so? >.>

I don't see it outselling FFXIII.

Did you just call me a little emo kid or it doesn't count when it's in the sig?

I think the overall quality of Final Fantasy games is becoming cyclical. Not counting the MMOs, whenever a truly horrible or at least average-to-below instalment surfaces, the game that follows tends to wind up being a classic, as was true with no. 9, which took the series from childish and confusing to mature and cheerful, and possibly no. 12 but I can't be sure since I never owned a PS2. I wouldn't abandon all hope for FF15 yet, these development teams have shown they can learn from their mistakes.

And besides, it's not like the Mad Hatter is loved by emos.
