green tea. watch a movie while using the treadmill.... eat lighter food? more fruit? pineapple and strawberries are good to lose weight.

Ignoring the whole correct diet thing. do something instead (or as well as) the boring treadmill and gym like work outs. Find a partner and play a sport. Squash is great, keep you fit uses a full range of muscles.

You don't need cardio per se to lose weight along with a good diet. Simply moving about on foot without the intent of making it cardio can make a huge difference and a big cut in fat pecentage. Walk to school/work, walk to the store, to practice, to friends, walk in general. Its refreshing and gives you time to take in the world around you and think and appreciate. If you don't consider your physical activity cardio, it will be easier on a psychological level to motivate yourself to go out and simply move a little. I could never understand this mentality though since I love working out myself (I'm a powerlifter and personal trainer so this is a big part of my life) but hang in there and get out and about!

Start by just walking a lot and cutting your food intake. Don't cut it too much, about 2-300 calories under your maintenance level is just about right, cut more and your body goes into saving mode, shedding water and muscle tissue and conserving fat, making future fat loss all the more difficult.

Most importantly; stick to it!

I use to weigh 305 lbs. and recently lost 90 pounds in 7 months, I ran a lot, ate right, and drank a lot of water. I now weigh 215 lbs and I'm currently trying to build muscle. I can't try simply running outside because of the snow and there's gonna be another snow storm this coming friday in my area.

So... any suggestions on what I can do to either improve my mood regarding cardio workouts or are there any alternate ways to lose weight besides cardio workouts? I've heard, dozens and dozens of times, that cardio is crucial but I just can't stand cardio workouts.

I hate running (it's sad cause I got a bunch of medals from the years I was forced to do it at school). What you might love however if you're like me is competitive sports. Try basketball, soccer, or even easier to do, squash or tennis.... Oh and you have to move on the field not just stand there.

Also a running buddy might help.... doesn't for me but hey ^^

 

Also since you mention snow... put on a big pair of boots and just jog in the snow, it'll be a big workout :p (or if you have friends, go play rugby or football in knee deep snow, it's fun and a big workout.

 

I'm not saying I lose weight this way.... but I eat like 4 (litterally) and I don't gain weight, so it must work somehow.
