Facebook and google banned from China, which means they are nothing to 1.3 billion ppl 1/5 of world population. (TBH, I can't see Facebook to make it big even without the ban in China)

According to IMF, China's GDP PPP will overtake USA in 2016, which means 6 years later, China will be No.1 according to GDP PPP!

Long Live the People's republic of China!

Well you dont have to worry about China. The banking elites and powers that be will never let them become the main global super power.

LOL, all China has to do is ask the US to repay its debt to China; being second in line, China would be the new super power.

Everyone always says that, but outside of theory, it wouldn't actually work.  Their economy would collapse just as hard without us buying all of their products, which obviously we would stop importing if they decided to do that.

You think a broke US will start buying products that are 10 times the price just to get back at China? Every country in the world is reliant on China. Sure, everyone bitches about terrible pay, work environment, etc. for Chinese workers, but there's a reason noone takes any action. It's because they don't want to pay $800 for their PS3, $100 for their Apple headphones, $10 for dog toys.

China can only maintain its dominance over the export market through currency manipulation - and that's why they buy so much US debt (which they can't just "ask for", btw, it's under contract, it's paid back when the contract says it will be paid back), as that allows them to peg their currency against a dollar.

Not only is it contractually impossible for China to just ask for the money back, but it will also kill the top reason why everybody buys shit from China versus other countries.

Only about 15% percent GDP growth was driven by export last year in China, They have a huge internal market and growing rapidly, the world needs China just as much as China needs the world.

This decade we will see USA has to deal with a much tougher China but remain to have the upper hand, but from 2025, we will see China start to pull ahead in almost every aspects, like they did during  200BC to 1800AD.

China is really an unbelievable country, name another civilization that has 5000 years history and  still powerful this day. I for one totally agreed with the China's introduction in Civilization 5.

china didnt renew their license for a few months, but now have.  what changed?  china wanted their search to be censored, google said no, so now they've compromised: now theres a link on china's google to hong kong's google (which btw was never taken down, or censored, and when google.cn was down, users would be redirected to google.hk so all most all of china never actually went without google).  google.hk is still not censored and readily available to everyone in china, which has never changed.

in my book, this means google won, they got what they want, uncensored google for all of china and they never had to leave china for it to happen.  china got something, but its meaningless when theres a link right under google.cn to google.uk.  this definitely makes google the leaders of whos going to take over the world first, or atleast above china :P haha

Well, it was google that redirected google.cn to google.com.hk last year, and the search results were censored when using it within China mainland (Thanks to the Great firewall of China), China did renew their license, but that was google asked them to renew it in the first place.

Ecuador >:)

In reality, both goolge and facebook

Google will soon acquire the U.S. Government, followed by the entire world. So yes, I voted Google.

Seems I misunderstood how these work. Thanks for clarifying.

China could still sell these treasuries to hurt US though, right?

So I just got an Android phone. Within a few hours it has made me fearful of Google to a humble servant that will do anything for the company.

All hail the Android Overlord!
