Batman: Arkham Asylum vs. Infamous

Infamous 62 49.60%

Batman:Arkham Asylum 63 50.40%

Total:125

I voted inFAMOUS. Truly loved this game, and it's the first game I ever liked enough to take the time to platinum (bc MGS4 doesn't have trophies and Uncharted 2 wasn't out yet). I place inFAMOUS as my 3rd favorite game of all time. I loved almost everything about it.

Just for the record though, Batman: AA is an excellent game, too. Had a blast with it.

inFamous never really connected with me. I liked the demo but it wasn't enough to get me into the store and buy a copy.

Batman Arkham Asylum last year was a sleeper hit for me and as a massive Batman fan, it was a fuckin awesome game in so many ways.

It was very fun to play and I cannot wait for Arkham City, which so far sounds and looks phenomenal!

Dude, you can't judge inFAMOUS by the demo. After I played the demo I actually thought about cancelling my pre-order - thought it was kind of boring. I ended up picking it up though, and couldn't be happier that I did. Only MGS4 and Uncharted 2 go in front of inFAMOUS as my favorite games of all time. Try it out-rent it or something. Or just buy it for $10 more I guess since it's like $20 or so now. Either way, you should give it a try;) By the time you beat it, I'll bet you'll be happy you gave it a chance

Batman is so much better than inFamous, it's not even the best open world super hero game, much less a package half as good as Batman.  Batman beats it in controls and combat, it beats it in story, it looks better, and it's fun while inFamous is pretty generic all around, generic characters (for some reason when they tried to give Cole some personality in 2 people cried fowl), the story was the same sinister organization gives package to a delivery boy, a big accident happens and ZOMG I HAVE SUPER POWERS!, at the end of the game when you're supposed to feel 'powerful', you don't, which makes it not even fun to stroll about the city, oh and apparently you can be sniped by a machine gun from 3 blocks away... just saying.

^^^I agree with Maxwell so much.  Cole seemed like another bald, gruff, throwaway charaacter to me.  Whhen I saw the first inFamous 2 trailers, I sat up and took notice!  I STILL have the trailer on my PS3 along with the MGS4 Theatrical, Uncharted 2 Cologne, and DCU Online Future trailers (I only save the best trailers).  I was so hyped for the new Cole and the fans shot him down.  It broke my heart.

Imo, Infamous has nearly PERFECT controls and combat. Moving around and chaining powers together make it way better than  waiting to hit a guy with batman at the right time.

The story in infamous is one that has to be closely looked at. There are reasons why each character is who they are, and even though Cole may not have personality, SPOILERS*** Kessler more than made up for it with his***SPOILERS.

Batman was really amazing and all. But the story i have to give to infamous. The game is just about Batman, and all that is is catching the Joker in the game mainly.

Batman sure as hell looks and runs better, but infamous gets my vote.

I'm one of the six people on Earth who didn't like Arkham Asylum. So, I would have to go with inFamous, which I did enjoy very much.

Why didn't I like Arkham? The combat was too easy, the Riddler challenges were stupid and just involved wandering around, the stealth was pathetic, it was impossible to find out where to go next at points, and everything was grey and drab.

This is how I feel as well, when I saw the new Cole with a mixture of powers that made it look like by the end of the game you'd have more than the equivalent of a lightning pea shooter and lightning grenades, I was excited, now it's back to the old Cole which depresses me.  Hopefully though they make him actually seem like a super human, I buy super hero games to do over the top shit like Spider-man in Web of Shadows.

If only there were more 360 only owners. Then this wouldn't be a tie and batman would rightfully win :p

I'm a PS3 only owner and voted in Batman... it is a better game but both are amazing.
