I'd take over the Tales series of RPG's made by Namco and actually localize a game so we wouldn't be so far in debt, that's the logical thing to do anyways. Too bad this is a hypotheical situation and the studio is likely to go bankrupt and never make another game again.

I heard the japanese Tales studio is almost bankrupt. I'm not sure which branch it is but I know one of them is has lots of financial troubles.

oh the japanese tales studios producer said awhile ago that they have been doing better and the games they have been releasing lately in japan have been selling well. so im sure they have nothing to worry about on going bankrupt. but yeah more localizations done right is key.

If I were a Lead designer? Oh, the stuff I'd do...

If I were to be a lead on the next Metroid I'd keep Sakamoto (), Team Ninja and add Tetsuya Takahashi from Monolith Soft. Yeah.

I'd make quite an open Metroid game with improved Other M gameplay. I'd add nunchuck support and there would be more scannable objects like in Prime.

On the Metroid timeline it would place itself somewhere after Fusion. The basic scenario would have Samus crashland on some strange planet for some reason. The locations would be huge, varied and full of mystery.

Storywise it would be quite crazy. Through some failed experiment a long time ago the planet has become one entity. The planet would be similar to an Overmind and all the planets creatures would be it's minions. Samus doesn't know this of course, and throughput the adventure she would hear the "voices of the Earth" . Using an evolved form of the Metroid whose purpose is more controlling it's victim than killing it, the planet wants to spread to other parts of the universe. To make this happen it needs Samus, and by using different voices or inhabitants of the planet it tricks Samus into believing there are two different "factions" fighting each other, and she starts helping the "good" one.

Later Samus uncovers the truth through reading logs and when this happens the whole planet will try and make her one of it's minions.

I'd like the game to be as non-linear as possible; the world would be similar to XenoBlade with it's openess.

Like Prime 3 Samus wouldn't lose her gear in the beginning so there would be lots of new upgrades. I'm thinking about gaining something similar to psychic powers in addition to "normal" upgrades. She could take control of lesser creatures, use plants or something. These powers would only work on this planet so she would lose them at the end of the game.

If I would be the lead developer of the kirby series...

I would implement a system where Kirby can mix 3 powers at once and make it a unique attack (much like kirby 64).

It would be significantly be harder (Kirby is way too easy ).

Have at least 16 power ups (the combinations would be endless)

Have interesting enemies that can actually do something.

Great world.

Remixed old music with inclusion of new music.

A kick ass multiplayer (which is the thing that nsmbwii 1 upped DKCR)

Yeah, now when the new president of Namco Bandai US is instated I sure hope he has the brains in his head to realise he needs  localise the games.

Just for clarification, I'd be able to play as Super Tails, right? And could you add unlimited flying, :D?

Super Tails, Hyper Tails, Super Amy, Hyper Amy, Super Knuckles, Hyper Knuckles. They'd all be in it :)

Unlimited flying would be hard to balance though. Tails would have to get tired after transporting a friend for too long, and there would have to be lots of flying enemies. Could make for really interresting airial 2D gameplay tough. It always bothered me that tails got tired after flying a bit.

A living monster planet is a cool idea.

Why would it need Samus though. Does it want to assimilate her brain to learn about space travel?
