katakana's easy. The words all generally sound like foreign (usually English) words.

I'd swap my knowledge of katakana for your apparently working knowledge of kanji in a second, because aside from month, top, and year, most of that was just squiggles to me

It seems I'll stay with understanding what I hear in animes only for a long time.

Where did you read that?

It says that the March issue will be out on January 21.

Information about this "extra big" issue will be revealed at the beginning of January.

There's nothing more there except this dragon drawing, which could mean anything.
