IMO,it wont. But it will be very close.

I'm expecting a week around 310K.I do think GT5 will get adjusted up though, since most of it's sales come from EMEAA,and VGchartz has a hard time tracking all the locations there.

Looks like I was off 32K,if we include Japan numbers.Damn, didn't expect it to be that low...but then again,it might get adjusted up and cross the 5M mark in it's 6th week like most of you guys expected...and failed! xD

Don't rule adjustments out yet: they are a dish best eaten cold.

I haven't?read my post again

I'm a bit shocked at the lack of love GT5 is getting in Americas.  Just been outsold by Kinect Joyride this week.  LOL!

I've played both and tbh while i enjoy Kinect Joyride i think it should have been another game that came with the Kinect adventures set and defo isnt a patch on GT5 (tho they are very different games).  I guess this is due to the Kinects success.  Plaudits to MS.

Lack of love? Just to compare...

GT4 (A): 2,840,230
GT5 (A): 1,272,206

Same time frame...

GT4 (A): 1,434,135
GT5 (A): 1,272,206

Seems fine to me.

A lot of you didn't do your research. Expecting anything less than a 40% drop after Christmas is crazy.

I smell adjustments in EMEAA though. 5 million could still become a reality.

The bad review all made on purpose, that is to prevent the huge expanding of Gran Turismo Audience that it already had.., disappointment??, standart cars??, bad shadow??, 6 years development??, yeah.., f*ck at it, excuses as its best, why would you focus to the lack while it had tons of great feature which will make you too busy to even realize about it, if not because they really intended to nitpicking it at the first place..??, that makes no f*cking sense.., actually "they" want to prevent the expanding because the hype we had back there was so high, strong enough to affect the non ps3 owners.

yes, it sales well.., of course it sales well!, because the audience was already big, but if the bad review and nitpicking wasn't exist, i believe it would hit a lot more than it had now, d*mn.., the moment was so critical back then..as i remember..

the LBP2 receiving high score?, yeah, of course.., because it wouldn't sell as much as GT, and it won't harm the other's audience as well.., and of course to restore the credibility back which they had lost on playstation fans.., back in GT5 bad review. it's sad when i saw PS fanboys who keep ranting and crying on the internet about the bad review back at the moment.., because they should be smarter than that.

man.., that's the power of media.., you could control the media.., you could control the world's paradigm..., that simple.

he..he.., maybe some of you will laugh as i'm taking it too serious, but at least why don't you try to think about it...

I did not expect GT 5 to sell this much. It will definitely reach 10 million no questions asked now. There is still a lot of bundling Sony can do and the next holiday and the one after that, 5 million(almost) already is pretty impressive.

And its been only a month and a half since its release.

I was astonished too, but despite unexplainable by itself, it instead helps nicely explaining at least two curious things:

1) How the Americans managed to do so many car accidents even back when they had a grandmaduckish 55mph speed limit, BTW with roads so large you should aim very carefully to hit another car.

2) How the American car industry ended in such a sorry state.

j/k

...NOT!

American idiotice can't be explained with logic... you failed =]

Yeah none the less..the Kinect games drew pretty big attention than it in Americas this holidays.

And you are analysing, you failed also =]

So it seems that after all GT5 managed to sold 5 million copies in 2010 after latest adjustments. Next stop @ 10 mill :)

Yay Canada! And I still maintain my prediction that GT5 will sell over 1 million combined between Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Asia. Based on the recent adjustments Vgc seems to have first week in LA at about 50k. Let's wait and see what Polyphony's shipments reveal about Asia.
