I think it will miss by over 100k, selling roughly 250k the last week of the year. A lot of shops are closed during christmas and most of the sweet deals are either before the holidays or in january with clearance sales.

Yes, almost only anglo-saxon countries start clearance sales very early after Xmas, here in Italy, instead, the earliest provinces started on 3rd Jan, but most will start the day or even the week after Epiphany (6th Jan) that here is a second gift-giving day although almost exclusively for children. Not to mention Orthodoxes, that in many countries celebrate Xmas later than Catholics and Protestants.

There was a big story going around here in Norway right before christmas about how the major electronics stores marked their prices up a great deal during the holidays, the PS3 went from 2500 to 3200 in many stores and they often double the prices of coffee machines, hairdryers and other consumer electronics. Seems they have it backwards since most countries have stores that actually lower the prices for increased product volume and revenue and increased demands.
Despite the mark up, the biggest chain of electronics stores in Norway, Elkjøp, still managed to be completely depleted in their stock of 360's and PS3's, I think the HD consoles have had a terrific holiday season here!
