With a new year comes new predictions, and this is the thread for that. Post your predictions for anything video game related, Whether it may be sales, multiplats, exclusives or new consoles, anything at all.

The PS3, X360 and Wii will have a minimum of $50 price cut this year.

this will be hard cause i had last year all wrong, but ill venture and guess


WII  102.5 (barring a new console announcement this year… i fell thats a 2012 thing )

XBOX 360  63.75 million

PS3 59.75 million

even if i had made a guess mid year last year still would have been wrong... tuff gen

PS3 will sell 20 million consoles next year alone. 

SONY positioning has the tech to have in terms of 3D will open an new market of 3D tv buyers with majority of new big screen tvs being 3D capable will drive PS3 sales also all the big Movie studio's pushing Blu ray when an new customer looks at an PS3 or 360 they will see that PS3 has an Blu Ray as blu ray will get bigger than before thanks to the movie studios promoting it.

Wii sales will not decline despite an new console will be unveiled at E3 next year. Most likely an upgrade to the wii to allow the wii to host big 3rd party blockbusters who exclude the wii because it cant handle it.

My 360 prediction is bold but the 360 will continue to do fine, more people will upgrade to the Slim from there old 360s they could fail on them. But Kinect will just fade away towards the end of the year and forgotten. Move might have some light because alot of sony 1st party games will support it. But Kinect will be the eye toy again and will have an great opening but will fade. Because thats not how gaming should be played. 

PS2 will selling 20 million?!?! Your CRAZZZZYYY. 2 million would be closer to the mark...

I predict Nintendo to announce the successor to the Wii at E3 and will release it in the first half of 2012

my bad yea i should of checked lol 

but who knows that could happen 

3DS is released March 25 in EU and the 27th in US

Nintendo mentions successor to Wii at the October-conference

Zelda is released in June in EU and US

Wii will sell around the same as it's competitors and

will be doomed until around November when it suddenly outsells the competition

Monster Hunter franchsise moves to 3DS with an announcement around E3

PSP2 is announced at GDC, released in september,  dead on arrival

Nintendo will announce their next gen Nintendo Home Console that will be slated for a 2012 release.

ALL Three Home Consoles will have $50 Price Cuts MINIMUM

At least 3 new PS3 Exclusives will be announced regardless of whether they release in 2011 or not. Not PS3 and PSN games together. 3 PS3 Exlcusives with retail releases.

The 3DS will sell AT LEAST 15 MIL this year WW (2011 and not Fiscal 2011)

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will have a Solid Release Date by or during TGS 2011 for Japan and a Release Timeframe for the West. Will launch in 2012 in all territories including Japan.

Mass Effect 3 will win more RPG Of the Year Awards than any other RPGs in 2011. Yes that means more than TES V Skyrim.

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm will have it's release date announced for 2012 and by buying Diablo III in 2011, you will get some sort of special incentive for HOTS in any form.

PSP 2 will be announced this year slated for a Fall 2011 release with at least 10 Launch Games.

Guild Wars 2 will be the most crititcally acclaimed PC Game of 2011 (METACRITIC WISE).

Bulletstorm will be the best selling New IP of 2011 across all platforms combined. (USING VGC Numbers)

No home console will have a successor announced this year and all home consoles will see a price cut this year.
