Already have it. 58 29.59%

Nect Christmas for sure. 3 1.53%

Soon as I get the money. 3 1.53%

Soon as more games come for it. 41 20.92%

Soon as I get a 360. 3 1.53%

Won't get it/Don't have... 88 44.90%

I already got one at launch and since then I've picked up a controller just one more time to test Dorito's Crash Course. Kinect Sports and Dance Central are a lot of fun, Your Shape is a great workout and even Kinect Adventures is ok.

Any of the following conditions will do:

One absolute "must play" title exclusive to Kinect. I'm really not holding my breath for this one in 2011.

Standalone price drops to $100.

Someone comes up with a Mel or Python script that allows skeletal mocap data from Kinect to be imported into Maya for animating rigged models. Rough, first pass animation only, but it would still be quite a time saver.

My 2007 year 360 RRoDs and I need a new Xbox = Kinect/250GB bundle.

Kinect sports is simply amazing!!!

Being so much more complementary to PC gaming than HD consoles, Wii is still the most likely to become my first return to consoles after a long time, but I'm not persuaded yet by any console and the price must drop further.

I will get it when there's at least 2 games I really want for it. How about you guys?

well toasty its just not for me. besides another friend has lost his 360 du to RROD, and he only had it for a month and it was the slim modle. the end of 2010 sells for both products are great and 360 met my original summer sells predictions of 50m so im not mad at all.

actualy all my summer predictions came true except the Wii's which was changed in Oct. or Nov. and well i haven't looked.

Your friends an idiot. The new 360 CAN'T RROD. If it goes red that means it's going into standby due to overheat, safety procedure. How can an old fault still be present on a new model? I am no expert but I was under impression they've changed the components around abit, if anything it would be a new fault, at least be original.

well i can't agree a computer specialist is idiot, but its still not working? he fixed his original more then 10x which of course was an original. maybe the slim model doesn't know when to work. maybe its just lazy?

i'm still prazing the slim model of both consoles untill i hear reports of something diff. hey you never know! this could be the first case known to us or just an isolated incident?

When more games that i actually want for it come out, and i get the funds (Should be next month) :)

Once they make some great games for it, but I would have to get a 360 first, so I doubt anytime soon.

I doubt it will ever reach 50 price tag especially if it comes with a game....

I wouldn't be so sure. I've already seen it for $120 used on amazon.

"Microsoft has solved the Red Ring of Death (RRoD) issue with the new slim Xbox 360. It can’t happen, the lights around the round power button cannot turn red rendering the RRoD problem solved.

But even though Microsoft may have side-stepped that common term, it has to have a way of signalling a failure on the new console. So rather than a red ring, you now get a red dot in the center of the power button. Therefore we may have to get used to the new term called Red Dot of Death, or RDoD for short. Kotaku is also suggesting we refer to it as RDoT. Which do you prefer?

Microsoft is surely hoping RDoD never catches on because its new machine is quiet, cool-running, and very, very reliable. Only time will tell how true that turns out to be."

Except.. The problem that was blown out of proportion is actually a warning that 360 is going to into standby after overheating of the system, to cool down that is. So it's a safety procedure.

Please don't attempt to make up fake rumours, it's really petty, with millions of machines out there, there are likely to be common faults rather than individual by now.

I guess your guess that PS3 will be ahead of 360 by ~3m next year should have been a sufficient enough warning to me that you were BSing.

Got it day one and love it, I've actually been more impressed with the non-gaming stuff.  The voice commands are great and I was playing Fable 3 Co-op with a buddy a few nights ago and it was nice not having to deal with a headset, I just talked and he could hear me.

But do you honestly play any Kinect games (anymore)?

I'm asking because I like many others suspect there's not much longevity with Kinect games, at least not the ones that are released so far.
