There is some truth in what he says but obviously some people won't appreciate it because their console of choice is the 360.

How times have changed. Back in the good old days the only requirement to be not a real gamer was to own a Wii, but now you absolutely have to own both HD consoles to be considered a real gamer.


He mean't that you are not a real gamer if you shun games because of some fanboy bs. Remind you of anyone?

Unfortunately, he made this error early on, thereby setting the tone for the rest of the text.


But your making assumption based on unnannounced titles too. For all you know MS could announce 3 new titles by E3 of next year and then another 6 at E3 for christmas 2011/2012 but Sony could do the same thing aswel. Hes basing his opinion on what he knows is coming. Your basing your opinion on speculation and stuff you hope is coming. See the differance there.

The backlash that the 360 is getting over Kinect in the gaming media is just like the backlash the Wii got. 

I'm one of the few core gamers excited about KInect because it offers more than just the same tired boring and safe sequels and gameplay that has made HD gaming seem so cookie cutter for years.

Too bad xbla still uses the stupid point system. The only reason I have 38 psn games and just 2 xbla games. A friend bought me a point card once to buy braid and geometry wars. First it didn't work since it was a US point card instead of a Canadian one??? wtf. Now I still have 260 useless points left after renting a movie.

I also refuse to buy points for the wii. Steam and psn offer plenty entertainment. Only thing I feel I missed out on is Limbo. Braid eventually came to psn too anyway.

So who cares? All of this is a simple opinion piece. Some will agree, some wont. I never hopped on the IGN hate bandwagon before, but they are becomming lazy with articles like this one :|

And the achievment vs. trophy comparison was plain BS. I bet that pretty much everybody who has above 20k achievment points will prefer XLA titles and not PSN titles.
