Other interesting information, predictions and trends:

GT5 will never outsell Halo Reach or Halo 3 unless heavily bundled (Extrapolating current sales trends)
GT5 has a lower Metacritic score than Halo 3 and Halo Reach which is probably one reason why GT5 is lagging behind Halo in sales
XBOX 360 is pirated, therefore it is logical to assume MILLIONS of Halo game sales have been lost due to piracy.
PS3 is NOT pirated, therefore it is logical to assume zero games sales have been lost due to piracy.
It seems that the HUGE ps2 install base greatly benefitted GT3 and GT4

This is the generation of the first person shooter off course Halo is selling better than GT5, but Gran Turismo is still the Call of Duty of racing sims.
