I've never seen an IMAX movie. 

Also The Dark Knight was only partially shot in IMAX. With the new movie they are going to shoot it all in IMAX.

So maybe it will be my first one.

C. Nolan filmed some sequences in the dark knight using IMAX cameras but of course not for 3d but for better resolution. They even managed to smash one.

Hehe,it's not like Mr. Nolan doesn't have the money to pay :P.

My fiance just told me the same exact thing. She says that anytime I want to go see one to just let her know and we will go.

She prefers it over 3D by a long shot. I also prefer non 3D movies as well. I want 3D for my games.

I want better resolution and picture. 3D needs to die.

Exactly.And Sony can offer us 3D for our games,so that's why I think IMAX would be a great purchase for them,and give us the best services!

batman isn't going to be 3D as NOLAN doesn't like it and studios don't want to piss him off but if there was any other director then surely batman would be 3d

Don't want to piss him off?More like they TRUST him to do the right thing.Everything Nolan touches is gold nowadays.

I think this is a very wise decision, everything is starting to go 3D. This could be a very wise investement for the long run.

I would highly recommend seeing Tron at an Imax theater. Not becuase of 3D (meh), but because of the much improved sound system.
