Major spoilers are in this link, so don't click until you've beaten the game and gotten all the endings (Yes, ALL the endings).  But if you have, and you still have some questions...

Man, the way he's answering some of the questions has me thinking that they're already working on a sequel...

I know!  DO WANT!

I've heard about but Hotel Dusk and Last Window look better.

I'm just waiting Last Window to hit the bargain bin to get it.

I really like Hotel Dusk, but I like this one much better, to be honest.  Although you're in Europe, right?  I don't think the game is available there.

Ebay is our friend lol

Played the game, absolutely amazing

puzzles were awesome and I loved the story

This game is brilliant! The writing is excellent, definitely something rare too say for most games. Puzzles are pretty neat too. I just finished my first playthrough and can't wait to start another one to figure out what the crap is going on.

Does anybody know how many endings there are?

There are six endings. One of them is basically the true ending cut short at a pivotal part, so that one isn't required to get the most out of the game.

So there's one ending that's the uhh "good ending" I guess? The only reason I call it that is because it said "Bad End" at the end of the one I just finished.

There are three bad endings, one good ending, and the "true" ending. The bad endings show alternate conclusions to the story that come about when you diverge from the story path. The true ending's prerequisite is having already seen the good ending. If you plan to get them all, I recommend getting the three bad endings first. If you ever need a bit of guidance, there is a spoiler free story flowchart on gamefaqs.

Beat the game with all six endings and loved every second of it...

Former something....

Can you really call that a "good" ending?  I walked away from it more depressed than the others...

I absolutely loved 999. It was a great game. Then again, I'm a sucker for a good storyline. Oh, and the game is most certainly NOT complete until you see the true ending. I wonder if it has sold well enough for Aksys to consider a sequel.

It has really done very well for an M rated game on the DS, as many other games have managed to sell 150k copies by just sitting on a shelf in the store (with good product placement, of course). I'm expecting 999 to get to 150k, since it's at 120k currently.
