It is never good to be late for a job or to shadow someone doing their job.  Everyone has limited time and he set aside his time for you.  While I don't like Fox News, I don't see anything wrong with what he said to you.  He could have been even more harsh and just not met up with you due to you being late.  At my current job the supervisor threaten to fire anyone that was late the first month of work.  Even though a few people were late and didn't get fired, I made for sure not to be late.  Showing up to work on time is the first thing you should learn.  Next is working hard or hard enough to get the job done (sure there will be times to slack but it better be because you worked so hard that you got caught up/nothing to do).

It is something you may understand better when you get older, get a decent career, and move into more senior positions ... A lot of senior employees at companies are under very tight time constraints, and you being late can cause them significant problems.

One of the directors in my company is in and out of meetings all day and a lot of these meetings are with business partners or clients. While it is not always a problem, if a meeting ends up ending late he can be put in the position of having to call up one of these important people that he needs a good relationship with to reschedule meetings; which puts him in an awkward position, and can reflect badly upon him or the company if he does it excessively. He's a very easy going person so I would never expect this kind of reaction to someone showing up late; but if you have someone who is already stressed and isn't nearly as easy going I could understand this reaction.

With that said, I have been late to job interviews before and still got offered the position in a large part because of how I handled the situation. If you realize that you might be late 15 to 30 minutes before you're supposed to meet someone, if you call them up and inform them they will tend to be more understanding. While I'm certain there are probably cases where this has turned out very poorly, the worst thing that has ever happened to me from this is the interview was rescheduled for another day.

You should also note this isn't fox news.  This is a fox affiliate.

Fox being the most leftwing major network that exists... just look at it's programming.

2 years ago? Are we gonna have stories about your entire life?  >_<"

Personally, I usually disembowel people who like Mad TV, so you got off pretty light IMO.

This too.

I came here expecting he insulted you >_>

But yeah, it was your fault. He could've given it as advice, 'cause you were only fourteen, but it was a favor and he was probably taking time off his work, and you being late made it seem that he was wasting more time.

It's nothing to be worried or depressed about. Or something to hate Fox about.

....and I sound like I'm trying to be older. Ewwww

Don'tcha mean rightwing?

He means the FOX network. The Simpsons, Seth McFarlane's half dozen or so execrable shows, etc. are all rather left wing.

He mentioned it in the poll, but it couldn't be Fox news.   Afterall cable channels don't have affiliates.  They have Cable.

The difference being the cable is delivered to you all from one area, while network affiliates are local areas that give you network TV.
