Forums - Gaming - Square Enix trademarks 'Final Fantasy Type-0' in Europe

Well.. it off to a good start.. so far I like everything about it...

Interesting, they've filed this trademark only for Europe for the moment....could that mean Eidos is involved somehow... probabily not. but it might be nothing. i also remember they filed a name for FF13 Haerasis, but no one has heard anything about that in years, so this could be the same thing.

luckly theres no FNC linked to this for the moment, thats a blessing.

"In addition to a trademark for a potential title, Square Enix filed a logo for Type-0 with "type zero" written in kanji. Usually, Square Enix just files a title like Nier or Tactics Ogre. Since Square Enix registered a logo too, this is probably bigger." by siliconera

next month we will see in Square Enix’s 1st production press conference

Yeah good point, perhaps production team 1s press conference will shed some light on it.

Lets see what this turns out to be, hopefully its nothing like X, XII or XIII.

Please get the series back to its glory days by making a FF4-9 type Final Fantasy square!

Maybe Square Enix tries to find a new name for Versus XIII since some potential customers might be confused if it relates to FFXIII or not.

Hahaha. i think its something to do with codename Fortress. we're not sure how long its been in development and Fortress was orignally outsourced to Grin, in Sweden (i think), perhaps SE relocated it to another European developer. maybe even Eidos. which would explain the announcement from SE Europe.

i'm really hoping its nothing to do with production team 1, they have too many projects as it is, and personally i think they shouldnt be allowed to do anything new until they finish what they've started with the awful FF13.

Wii game to counter The Last Story in Europe

I'm calling it

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah, it's totally Fortress.  Western made Ivalice, here we cum!

Probably that western looking final fantasy game they were working on awhile ago.

could this be fortress?
