Forza is not realistic... the tracks are out of real proportions... the phisics are more Arcade than Sim... and gameplay lacks a lot of sim features.

But I agree it is a really good game... just not so good for sim racers.

Why not? People are having 360 parties and to get in the door you need to have at least 100,000 360s and 50,000 kinects. This way, you can understand the peak in the numbers!

Dont think people realize that handhelds are mostly bought for kids.  With the warnings coming from Nintendo and the price I dont see the 3DS making any immediate sensation.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Ok i think most of us listen to your GT5 lovefest for sometime now and we let it go but i think enough is enough now. Especially when you talk about the rubbish you have above.

Your talking about sims and putting Forza down by implying it isn't a sim. In this instance "the physics are more arcade". Are you for real? You do realise in GT5 as with all previous GT games you can use the cars in front of you to slow down from 150mph to 40mph so you can take the corner without having to brake by simply ploughing into them? That isn't very "sim" like you know because if you do that you will be dead...Add to that even if you do that your car will be fine and will continue to run at full capacity. Yeah really "sim" physics there...

The same goes with the AI which is obviously never going to be as good as human beings. But at least in Forza the AI adapts to your racing style, it won't follow a set magical line and stay on it like it is on rails, that is more like a train then racing.

So please for the love of god stop saying Forza isn't a sim racing game while implying GT5 is...


Both Forza and GT5 have a lot of elements of s true simulator, GT5 however has more and overall is the better simulator - that's why most reviews of the titles as a sim vs a game rate GT5 higher.

A lot of people - including reviewers - are really forgetting what a true simulator is supposed to be: which is a tool to practise something real world to aim for perfection.  A sim is not a game and shouldn't include game elements strictly speaking.

As others have noted Forza is arguably a better racing game, and it actually loses elements of a sim to do so.  GT5 is not the best driving sim - I reckon you'd probably need to get one of the PC driving sims for that - but it is more of a sim than Forza.

Watch say Apollo 13 to see the concept of a real sim - they try something, it goes wrong, they get a moment to try and correct then the sim ends.  They've failed and they restart.  That's a sim.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

However after looking at your tag i don't see GT5 on there. So that is quite funny you saying i should play it when you have no record of playing it on your tag where as i do...

That's not just my opinion... that's common sense... the majority of reviewers and players agree.

Thats common sense? Sorry i don't think i have much common sense then in that case because looking at its review scores it has around 84% on metacritic. I assume you are talking about certain reviews/reviewers who back up your opinion while ignoring those who don't? That doesn't mean it is common sense it means your only selecting opinions which match your own. I am sure if i could be bothered i could go through those same reviews and find negative reasons or maybe even explanations as to why they didn't give it a 9 score? Also if the game is so good as you suggest why has it won none if any game of the year awards? Forza 3 won Spike TV racing game of the year, Gamespot racing game of the year, IGN racing game of the year G4TV racing game of the year, and runner up to 360 game of the year.

Maybe you could point out its awards for those of us with no common sense?
