Goldeneye is a lock for selling a million copies, probably 750 to 825 k next week, 800k to 900k by the years ends, Million seller by the end of January or February, If it can become a mainstay, which it might, don't be surprised if it sells on par with the ps2 Bond games ~3 million copies

Yeah... GT5 can't compite yet with the greatest release of this year! Had a very good numbers but just that. Ps3 don't found a real competiton exclusive for Halo

Yeah... GT5 can't compite yet with the greatest release of this year! Had a very good numbers but just that. Ps3 don't found a real competiton exclusive for Halo

For Halo as a series, GT is easily competition. Look at how much the PS1 and PS2 games sold.

But this gen, yeah, the competition is with COD.

In its 4th week on the market GT5 already made it to #10 of bestselling PS3 games. The only unanswered question to me is if in the long run it will be the 1st, 2nd or 3rd PS3 game to sell 10 million copies. My guess: 1st.

Epic Mickey will be a million seller next week after only 5 weeks on the market. I'm glad the game will be as successful as I hoped.

I don't know what exact numbers the company expected, but to me it seems uDraw will become a success for THQ.

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is at 238k worldwide and didn't even make it to the worldwide top 30 chart of DS games this week. Despite getting German/French/Spanish/Italian and maybe more regional localizations, initial PAL sales are very low, only 18k in EMEAA after 2 weeks on the market. That's disappointing.

Or how about how analyst, Sony execs, many gaming and non-gaming journalist and innumerable legions of gamers all basically felt that it was a lame duck console at launch and was going to be blown out of the waters by the PS3.  Sony had sold over 100 million consoles for the last two generations, dominance in every region on earth.  The previous gen had seen simply the potential of the PS2 CRUSH the Dreamcast and force Sega out of the console race.  They were the 100 lb gorilla that declared that the next generation of gaming doesn't start until they arrive.

Yet ..... here were are ... 2010.  5 years after launching.  The Xbox 360, with no price cut for over 2 years, has its single best sales week ever.  And over 4 of those five years, to this 100 lb. gorilla, it has only given up 1.3 million of its one year lead.

Remember your HISTORY, fellow gamers.  The Xbox 360 has done the improbable and deserves recognition and acclaim.

And don't even get me started on the story of the Wii ...

Dude, the Wii is the story, it was the console people laughed at. The 360 is doing great, but only in second because the PS3  is doing bad compared to the PS2.

The 360 did not just get there this year, it had a redesign, Kinect, Halo, the biggest game on the planet all this fall.

Is it really THAT hard to give the 360 a compliment that is not backhanded?  Do you (and others) even realize when you do it?
