Err? I'm thinking the Kinect will at least have sold over 15 million units by the end of next year and has a shot at 20 million. As it will most likely get a pricedrop before next holiday and so might Xbox 360.

My guess is 7.5 million for Move and about 10 million for Kinect, unless Kinect drops off horribly after the holidays. Maybe like the Wii in the last 2 years, Kinect sales will be particularly concentrated in the holidays.

I would say they were only talking US (which would still make the figures low in my book) but it clearly says worldwide.  Makes no sense

I can only think they are disregarding 2010 sales all together and the 7.6 is for 2011 only.  Still doesn't make much sense though, as I'm sure will Kinect will have a huge holiday push again next year with the rest of the years sold through number... 7.6 just seems kind of small.

Yeah I agree they must mean something else, like I said, as written the article doesn't make much sense.

I see big stacks of both, Move and Kinect, piled up in every store. But then again, I am a Nintendo fan.

Kinect and Move have been selling out pretty often at my best buy, but wii's are selling really well too.  Been a good year for video games!!!

it just depends where you live. in my city in germany  with ~100k inhabitants i saw never a game/console or whatever which was sold out. NEVER!

There are plenty of Moves. Lots of them on Gamestop and Amazon.

Not sure where you are looking to find them. I was at Best Buy and Fry's Electronics a couple days ago and they still had plenty.

Not sure which way they are swinging it, whether there will be 7.6m new kinect users in 2011 alone or the overall install base including the 2010 will be 7.6m. If it's the latter they'll be proven wrong by around February. If they mean 7.6m 5.5m(likely end of year figure) then around 13.1M seems like a safe prediction, but still on the lower bound of the possible spectrum, the holidays next year will be even more crazier, and Kinect will have plenty of time to sell until it laps itself.
