Forums - PC - Caesar 3

The old days of game buying.

I remember walking into the store and seeing shelves of computer games. I'd see one and being like "hmm, I think I'll try this" and it went from there not knowing anything else about the game.

That happened with this game, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Age of Empires 2, Medieval 2: Total War, Homeworld, Half-Life, Freespace 2, ect.

I LOVE this GAME!!!

Why isn't this on steam?

Get it from GoG instead (and just add a shortcut to your Steam games list if you want to run it from there).

I've already gone there, but I can't be bothered to get my card now...

fantastic game, never owned it but a friend had it.

the fire spreading was really annoying though haha and I can't recall having much success in the game too

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Caesar III? One of the games which formed me! If I love the City Builders it's because of Caesar III! Unfortunately I can't find another city builder so well made...

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Certainly one of the best city builders out there.

Pure classic and insanely addicting.

Oh man, the horror. One place lights on fire and then another 10 places are on fire.
I would buy Caesar 5 day one.

Argh, and you had no control over the guards to put the fire out. I'd see one guy rushing in with water from outside the viewable area while another guy is walking nearby the fire and doesn't do a thing.

The engineer mechanic can be just as annoying. I'm doing something on one side of town and then all of a sudden "BAM... BAM.... BAM... BAM... BAM..." All of my farms are gone.
