That's just blatant trolling. Stop.

But not in the same way. For example when Square-Enix makes a Nomura game, it's a Nomura's project all the way and everybody can see it in the story, characters design, gameplay, etc. The duties in that project are spread but at te end the esence of the game creator is really strong no matter how many people worked on that project.
With Nintendo everybody put things on the table and a single game can have like 40 "fathers", for example the same guy that worked in Zelda worked in a game about exercise, this kind of collaborations can only be possible with this strategy, now sometimes this works really well (Wii Fit, Sports) other times things ended up being a disaster. (Wii Music, Doshin the Giant)

Nintendo is loaded with games, loaded. On that alone you are wrong. |
When psrock defends Nintendo, you know you're very wrong. LOL.
Mr. Miyamoto I look forward to new Zelda, i really do, but b4 you start telling people to do something new one might look in the mirror first. How much Marios and Zeldas are there??? Nintendogs isnt even remotely original, there were gigapets long b4 that.
I love zelda on NES and Super Nintendo but can't stand it on wii.

That wasn't the full context of his comment. The actual comment was about making great games, not just trying to follow trends (motion control in this case).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
Wow of narrow minded people here... Always saying Nintendo and Miyamoto just did Mario and Zelda, nothing original. Are you pleople kidding?
Even with only the mario games they made the blue prints for the 2d side scroller and 3D platform games.
If Galaxy 1 and 2 score are in the higher rated games of this gen, is that because they bring some things new in the table about gameplay and game mechanics.
Also Miyamoto is behind some of the more influencal game of this generation: Wii Sport and Wii Fit.
Just check out what was publish with the other console new motion controler: sport compilation (sport champion and kinect sports) and also fit game for Kinect...
I think that's what he is talking about for the lack of innovation they just release HD revamp of Wii games. Not providing something new or original. But to honest this could change for the future games (sorcery for move for example) and i wish it happen more to bring some new experience for gamers.
But we must first concentrate ourselves on the way to entertain people, for video games to live. Else, it's a world where sales representative will win, which has as effect to kill creativity. I want to say to the creators all around the world:"Courage, Dare!". Shigeru Miyamoto.

It's the only "fact" that they can fall back on now, and I almost feel bad taking it away from them.

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
I hate to say it, but Miyamoto you need to take your own advice. Do something new, I love your IP's they are my favorite games ever, you are a gaming God. Which is why seeing you release Zelda title after Zelda title, Mario after Mario, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. I want to see another new Miyamoto game, you are the legend the master of gaming and I want more great games.
Does everyone agree with me? I mean where's Miyamoto's next origional game? Pikmin was awsome I can't wait for Pikmin3 but I would rather see Miyamoto doing something new rather then giving us yet another sequel to his gems. He is the master mind and honestly he has the creative capabilities to create another 4-5 franchises.
So Miyamoto your rivals are creating new IP's and taking some risks. Why doesn't the master show em how its done and give us another ground breaking franchise?
He's been quoted saying 2011 would be a good year for him to release a new IP... I hope it comes through!
Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
