The league is up-to-date for this week...

I didn't think I was gonna get any points this week. At least I placed for GS. At least this week my hard work in C&C 3 should be paying off. It's frustrating to spend 3hrs or more on a single battle to have some of the objectives glitch. I have to remember to save a lot so I don't have to keep replaying battles from the beginning.

Deus Ex is now a full tournament. (13 Owners!)

Wow Deus Ex doing well, 13 owners already!

I just wanted to take some time out to express my anger and hatred of EA's servers. They shut down the servers for their games faster than anyone else due to lack of players. Yet I think I figured out why there is a lack of players...the servers suck balls! A few nights ago myself and a few friends decided to play C&C 3:KW online and it was horrible. I have played it recently yet it took me 30mins to get online yet my cousin who hadn't played it since 2009 was able to connect right away. His friend tried for about 25mins before he was able to connect. The average person probably wouldn't be that patient, because I know we were 5mins away from playing Halo Wars.

Even worse is the fact that I've been trying to get the online achievements for Skate 2 and it's been almost impossible. I couldn't get online for 2 days with it and then someone told me it's because you need to purchase the DLC. Granted I was planning on getting it anyway I bought two packs and I was able to get online. Then I realized that couldn't have been the issue because there are 3 DLC packs. This was confirmed when I couldn't get online again the next day. The other problem is the achievements are connected to the leader boards and even if you get enough XP to fulfill the requirements it won't pop until EA updates the leader board. Last night I check the leader board and it was updated but still no achievement. Ugh!!!

I think for now on I will try to stay far from any EA games that have online achievements.

It's only 2011 but I think I am calling Deus Ex: Human Revolution my game of the decade ... flawless in basically every way aside from small things like the prerendered cutscenes looking like they were lifted from a Gamecube game due to their lack of graphical quality.

Just 1000/1000 so here is some advice for anyone going through it who is worried about Pacifist achievment: I did all of the side quests and had several situations where gang members died when I shot them with tranquilizer rifle and the achievement still popped no problem. I think the best way to play it from a achievement perspective is to do a mixed stealh/stealth combat approach. Try to avoid guards mostly as there are way more than enough to get the combat related achievments ... if one or two are making life difficult for you then it is best to take them out since the environment is loaded with items/hidden routes you can use which are easier to negotiate when there is not the constant fear of getting caught to slow you down. Also, be sure to stockpile a good weapon or two as well as grenades for bosses, and grab the laser rifle when you see it 3/4 of the way through the game as it makes the final boss a joke.

The game leaves me wanting for more which is the best way for a game to end. I hope the DLC they have planned fits in with the spirit of the game and adds to the experience in a meaningful way. Even if they don't add achievements I will buy it regardless.

Sorry, I didn't make an update Thursday morning. We were on our way to camping and I fell behind. So, I packed up everything expecting that I could do the update over my 3G wireless setup. Unfortunately, I got to the campsite and cellular and 3G were non-existent..

I have to admit, four days off the grid was tough. I will post how I will do the points this week to make up later tonight.

So you didn't collect the data last Thursday? That hurts me as I was going to finish 1st in TA ratio last week because I finished Deus Ex so quickly. The game has lost about 1800 TA points since last Thursday and 2 other people in the league have since finished it.
