annoyed at Runic Games...  i earned the avatar awards in torchlight but they have not unlocked...posted on their forums and they have not even acknowledged my post.

took them several days but they finally acknowledged my thread.   then i was chatting with one of their guys through PMs.  he seems like a nice guy so i forgive them for ignoring me.

long story short.  it has been determined that being offline at the points where the Awards are earned is the most probable cause for them not to be given.

Well done eNamrah.

Yes, this is a record! I was shocked, when I saw the totals.  But, eNamrah is prone to these types of things when there are lots of tournies.  He has been in the 30's a few times.

I expect a seesaw battle at the top to continue though.  Just knowing the trends of gamers from past history.

To give you an idea of how well people are starting this year, this is how the top of the league point standings looked like last year (for the full year) by this week...

1 RONSTER316               67
2 eNamrah               63
3 Adajio64               43
4 JPL78               43
5 Dynosaw               36
6 Erikers               36
7 Recon1O1               30
8 VehementAbyss               28
9 peterisyum               27
10 Machina22               27

People are really stepping their effort up this year and every part is becoming more competitive.

Nobody tell Machina I'm gonna sandbag him for 5th place in the comp % list.  I'm 0.01 behind.  Ssssshhhh!  Now how I'm gonna get the rest of the way to 80% and stay there idk.  I won't be sneakin up on Erikers or Seece this gen.  Decent race for second in DA2.

Edit:  I see the final ME2 dlc has a name and date.  'Arrival' - March 29.

I have updated the tournment weekly post with the latest information from xbox.com

Haven't played anything else than Torchlight in the recent days.

Achievements really are the only thing that keeps me playing. Surely it's not that bad, but damn is it repetitive and unimaginative.

At least let there be other quest givers and quests that actually differ from each other. You don't need to read the quest description anyway. Just go further down the cave and make sure to kill and collect everything.

Shops only sell crap that is inferior than everything in your equipment. Only thing you really need are these identification scrolls.

The difference made by these magical stones are minimal and it sucks that you can only collect 50 items at once. Every 5 minutes your inventory is full and you need to give some of them to your pet.

The floors are just mostly straight forward and the only time where you need to at least slightly use your brain is when you want to get to "secret" places (which can easily be seen on the map). Pull a lever here, blow a horn there etc.

Bosses are just bigger versions of other creatures and there is no need to use any special kind of strategy. Only interesting fight was against that orc. I'm about to fight the last boss so maybe and hopefully this will be the best fight of them all.

Seriously if it weren't for achievements and football/Simpsons that I watch on my second monitor while playing, I'd have stopped Torchlight after the first 5 floors.

btw. how many levels of fame are there ?

There are 50 levels of fame (You get the achievement at 33.  You have to remember that this is a $10 RPG on XBLA, not a AAA $60 RPG.  It is pretty good for its cost.
