eNamrah: Early impressions on Dark Souls? You've probably figured all this out but besides the cam hiding my character behind foliage, overhead platforms, bosses and walls I had to force myself to slow to a walk so that you can roll past enemies. The same button at a run will produce a jump and damn near everything will pick you off like a clay pigeon. Most enemies can stab you through three feet of stone but you can return the favour.

I really think the game is made for heavy armour and weapons and you should try to master the parry. I rarely used parry or jump attack and light armour was a serious handicap later on. Save the shards, chunks etc. to upgrade med. or heavy armour and put some skill points into endurance and strength so you can wear it without collecting millions of GD souls. If you want to max it out start working on the special weps made with Boss souls first playthrough. I sold my copy so 900 gs will have to do. I can always recreate the experience with a pair of pliers and a car battery. Good luck brother.

@recon: The game's great. At first I liked that there's no babysitting but now I've found myself longing for a mini-map or world map. I got lost for about 45min in the depths with the frogs(?). I've decided to avoid using a guide for my opening run through and just enjoy the experience. We'll see how long that lasts. I've also started playing offline, while human, to prevent invasions. For my character I began pumping points into vitality, endurance and strength but am now solely focusing on int. I prefer to keep my distance until I master the parry. Aside from the occasional cheap death, the mini-bosses/bosses are the only enemies that have given me any serious trouble and repeated deaths.

I'm confident I'll be able to get the full 1000gs. It might take a few months as I'm in no rush but I'll get it.

Three plats were really good last week. But just like every year the league is a marathon and not a sprint! RONSTER316 continued his reign last year because he kept on finding ways to score week after week.

The winner of this league every year truly deserves it. In fact, I think the top 5 should consider it a victory... This is not a easy league to stay competitive in.

Not sure you can protect yourself from this but I wanted to let you guys know about the FIFA 12 hack problem. Someone randomly hacked my gamertag and made off with all my msp they used these to buy FIFA 12 DLC and won two achievements from the DLC. You may want to update your passwords but I am not sure that will help. The following site has info on this.

Exact same thing happened my self. Thankfully no cc attached to my account so bank acccount was safe just lost msp. Pissed of i now have 2 achievements in fifa 12 on my account but too be honest things could have been a lot worse. My msp was replaced within 24hours and i received a free month of live but I would advise people to update their passwords as its really not worth the hassle.
