Looks like it might be the console version(s), I hope those aren't the PC version textures...

PC on medium or the console versions have gotten a lot better recently...

Yeah, I remember playing the first Crysis, lauded as the next big thing in visuals (and that was its only value) only to find that it had shitty textures. Trees, foliage, buildings and certain items looked horrible compared to vehicles, character models, lighting, particle effects and other effects.

Some late patches and mods made it better but still miles away from the promo shots.

Crysis 2 will no doubt look a lot better than the first one since this is a whole Cryengine, too bad the game itself will probably suck big time.

these being promo shots I am leaning towards console version TBH as they would only show the very best aspects of the game. The recent talk of making Crysis 2 a true AAA game and very little detail down to every last bush being of AAA quality gave me hope that the texture work would be top notch, TBH these screens do look fantastic and I am sure in the fast motion gameplay the slightly blurry textures background and ground textures won't be to noticeable. But if these are the high end PC textures it's a tad disappointing. Still as I have  said still looks fantastic.

As for the game play some of the stuff I have seen make it look fun, and they have a real sci-fi  writer for the campaign which could ether lead to this having one of the best FPS campaigns in recent years or a complete disaster lol. 

Anyway back to playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. CoP for me...
