I believe because I have had an experience. It's something you don't believe until it happens to you. I would say if you don't believe, please, please try to refute all of the experiences various people have had. It's just foolish to think otherwise. It's kind of like science is, I don't know, brainwashing you into being ignorant. Oh the irony.

Ok, fair enough for most of your post, that's your view on the matter. But why the random attack on science at the end?

Because I wanted to stir up shit.

But seriously, it is pretty ironic in the case of some people.

Except you're likely the ignorant one...

One night when I was home alone, I thought I heard blankets fall out of the closet (or clothes or something) but I was too nervous to check.  I got uo the next morning, and there was nothing out of place.  I guess it was a really neat ghost.  Little things like that make me a little on edge.  I usually forget about it once a day or two has passed.

Seriously?! Seriously???!!! You were in the military and you now work as a security guard protecting a nuclear reactor from evil terrorists, yet you're this cowardly???

Enemy soldiers aren't scary, they're just dangerous. The same goes for terrorists, except you're much less likely to encounter them.

Anyway, no, I don't believe in ghosts. I believe something like that could exist but so far we have no reliable proof against it or for it. But what's certain is that most so-called encounters with ghosts are simply causes by people's imagination.

Also, I hate this thread. It's already night in here, and I should be going to bed pretty soon. Thanks a lot >_<

Well stirring shit up is what makes the world interesting lol.

Either way, I don't think science brainwashes people into being ignorant. All science ever really wants is facts to support an idea, yet there are no empirical facts to support the existence of ghosts. I wouldn't really call this ignorance. If the evidence existed, the scientific consensus would be different.

My posts keep disappearing because the "done" button appears right on top of an add or a link.  This is getting frustrating!!

I used to go to empty churches and stuff after hours as a cop, I used to walk through a graveyard as a shortcut on my way home from work when I lived in atlanta.  I went with my friend Jake (D11) to the creepiest graveyard you could imagine on Halloween a couple of years ago.  If I think there's a PERSON, I'm fearless.  I'd chase them into a dark alley with the words "this is an ambush".  Yet, when I'm alone, I can imagine the scariest shit, lately.

I like being scared (loves playing Silent Hill or Alan Wake at night, alone) but I can freak myself out sometimes.  Besides, the person who says "what was that?  I better investigate...." is always the one who dies in horror movies! I blame the movie Paranormal Activity.

I don't believe in ghosts coz, I never had an experience like scarrryyyy ghost. I have heard people talk about it, my grandfather used to believe in it and did talk of an incidence (which is clearly interesting and noteworthy) but I haven't really had any experience like that.

There out to get everyone, which is why we have these.

Such things don't exist.

Well, you should really stop playing scary video games and watching horro movies. It seems like they're really getting to you, and that's not good (I know for experience that they can have a terrible effect on a person).

As for the bolded part, another rule of horror movies is that the angelic virgin survives, while the slut dies. So you better be careful there, Lewie!
