Took down Poseidon this morning so, not very far at all.  This is the kind of game I have to play at night!  (don't know why it isn't in the card in my sig).  I'm gonna jump on it right now, as a matter of fact.

I'm playing the alledged GoW that has Kratos with the most character development, and he's been using Deimos as an excuse to rampage throughout Atlantis.

I feel that when David Jaffe left, so too did kratos's soul.

Kratos became an incoherent mess of a character from the beginning of GOW2....havent played Ghost of sparta yet , but I dont have that high of a hope that kratos's character development progress is more of the same(by that I mean none at all)....just playing it to have the story I dreamed of involving his brother from the snip-it in GOW1

I don't know who claimed that, but GoWIII defiitely has more character development than Ghost of Sparta.

I'd have more respect for GoW in general if it was a greek tragedy done right.

To paraphase Extra Credits a bit, Kratos' tale should have been like this.

Kratos is a well-respected man in Spartan culture.

Kratos wishs to ascend more in power.

Kratos is tricked by the Gods into killing his family and those who truly matter to him.

Kratos, ashamed of what he's done, kills himself tragedically.

Instead we have this one-dimensional rage for the sake of rage Kratos...

Lot of BS in this thread...but theres no point arguing with people who are obviously entitled to their opinion.

Kratos isn't some pretty boy you're supposed to go gaga over. He's an anti-hero. He is killing people for his own selfish reasons.

And FYI, OP, the PSP versions can't hold a candle to the main games.

The problem is he's just as generic as the other type of guy.  If you slap Kratos in a space marine suit, you'd have a perfect example of a different stereotype.

I'd be a pretty pissed of dick head as well if I was being attacked, betrayed and mentally raped every time I took a shit.

I like Kratos, despite what everyone else says about his generic qualities, I have yet to find a character that is even remotely similar in their attitude and storyline.
