Forums - Nintendo - Would you want another Vice City based GTA on 3DS?

Much rather they did a San Andreas based game. I wanna fly a jet in GTA again!

Console? Yes

3DS? No

I loved Vice City mainly for Tommy and the amazing music, but they already did a sequel with "Stories" so that wouldn't work.

Having said that, a new GTA in another city but also in the 80's and with the same or more music, would be very cool.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

No I would not, the only gta I'd want on a ds is one with the birds eye view, the others would just control like crap and vice city wasn't even that good

Not sure we'll see a new GTA on a Nintendo plateform... 3DS is maybe cool but remember Chinatown Wars (And if you don't, Rockstar won't forget)

China Town Wars was sort of a lame setting for a GTA title. If a game like that sold on PS2 alongside San Andreas and Vice City, it would have sold very poorly as well.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Yes.

In fact, I still want a GTA on the Wii with motion controls.

Although a fresh one to allow a custom scheme would be best, some ports could be a good way to experiment. And they could follow the Xbox graphics.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I dont want anything from that conpany on my Nintendo platforms

Way to close up that mind.

A close mind ? I dont care for there games dont see how thats closed. They or some one else would just whine about its sells anyways.  After the way a lot of the third parites have treated the Wii I could care less if they ever make another game on a system I own. Im not Nintendo only on my Nintendo consoles but the third parties have sure done a good job of making lean that way.

Uh, that specific company, Rockstar North, once known as DMA Design crafted a couple unique titles exclusive for Nintendo such as Uniracers and Body Harvest.  Body Harvest fell well short of expectations, but it's essentially the prototype for what became Grand Theft Auto III.  Rockstar is one of the most respected developers in the industry, and have reputations beyond the negative ones anti-gaming zealots want us to believe.  Among their reputations is one for almost consistently high quality software.  You wouldn't want that on a Nintendo console?  That's sad.  For that matter, Rockstar did deliver a quality title to the Wii in the form of Bully (and a decent, though lukewarm Manhunt 2).

Rockstar is a lot more than just Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt.  Saying something along the lines of "don't care for there games (sic, supposed to be "their")" is as close-minded as the way Jack Thompson views the company.  He doesn't pay attention to the Red Dead series or that Rockstar table tennis game.    All he sees is GTA and Manhunt, GTA and Manhunt.  There have only been 2 Manhunt games.  You know, it's fine to not be interested in GTA, but I find it hard to believe that anyone finds Rockstar games to be totally unappealing, especially given their history, variety, and quality.

Third parties on the Wii have delivered exactly what sells--family and party games.  If Nintendo fans wanted more than that, maybe they should've done more to support various third party efforts.  But the mainstream Blue Ocean crowd got in there, and that coupled with the often unwillingness of Nintendo fans to support 3rd party games led to 3rd party companies putting on the system only what sold:  Casual games for the Blue Ocean crowd.  It's not like they could make Nintendo games.

You guys could always get the closest runners-up with Scarface and Bully.  I thought Scarface was quite a bit of fun.
